Goal Of the Season

I love goal of the season time, the above got my vote on this Guardian page. I just think it's a great moment in football, making it 6-6 and all.

Vampire Weekend Big Weekend Video

Vampire Weekend as sooooo good, here is a 45 minute video of their performance at Radio One's Big Weekend. Bit too much focus on the singer but still - god bless the BBC, if I paid my license fee I would definitely feel like it was being well spent. I'm quite keen to see Vampire Weekend over the summer I think Eden Project or Latitude is the best bet.

Thomas Prior on 20x200

Tom Prior has been one of my favourite photographers for a while, his blog is great. Now you can buy some of his work from the 20x200 project for just $20. Bigger prints are more expensive but $20 for a 8x10 print is amazing. here.

Nike Ad

The Nike ad that we made has just premiered, would love to know what you think positive or negative. I can possibly see some of my visual research in it and am subsequently quite proud.

NPR's Project Song with Moby

For Project Song NPR gives an artist 2 days to make a song based on pictures and stuff they are given, above is Mody's effort. thanks Ped for sending it to me.

Funny I should see this today, last night I challenged myself to write a song and put it on twitter no matter what form it ended up in, just to try and starve off another unproductive night, I just about managed it...

Sunday

IS Parade

If you type your twitter name into this website it creates a 3D parade where your followers actually follow you, I'm pretty sure it's the greatest thing in the history of time.

By the way, I seem to tweet more than I blog so if you don't follow me or even use twitter perhaps you should, fuck nuts x

New Music Blogs

Is a very good new music blog, you should read that and get off my god damn back here

Seems very good for you insatiable appetite too here

(I don't know if it's obvious from the above but I think you're a bastard)

Esben and the Witch

The best new band I saw at The Great Escape was easily Esben and the Witch. Dark, atmospheric, Brighton based, and haunting are all words that seem related. They are playing Latitude, Truck, Field Day and Standon calling I think.

A note about Great Escape if you want it. I think it's safe to say we all had a great time, even though it's not very conducive for seeing bands, with all the bands playing at the same time, the venues being spread out and queue being a big issue at the larger venues. It seems a lot more set up for brands to associate with our coolness, every stage and event is aligned with an energy drink or some shit. Having said that Brighton is such a cool place for hanging out none of that really mattered, for every queue there was a a nice tea shop or a cheap chorizo stall to cancel it out.

Jeff Bark

I like Jeff Bark, bit rude but you'll get over it.

Armando Iannucci on Hung Parliament 1997

Having Labour govern in the day and Lib Dems at night is a brilliant idea.

Friday, 7 May 2010

I have a folder on my desktop called Nice Pictures, it's where I keep nice pictures, I realised this folder was getting quite large, so obviously I made a slide show with music.

p.s there is a disproportionate amount of children in there owning to the fact that we just did those Waitrose ads with the kids trying food...I'm not a nonce.

Zombieland

Just a quick note to say - watch Zombieland if you haven't already. It seems like the trailers and such stress the action and zombieness too much, for me it was all about the black comedy, well drawn characters and their relationships...end of chat. Bradshaw 4 star review.

The Tom Show 12

I recorded this in Feb but thought it wasn't that good so never blogged it but I listened to it today and thought it was maybe ok, enough good songs to see passed my ramblings. There are some new songs some old songs and all sorts. The heart in the pictures was made while I was teaching my bosses kids to use photoshop didn't want to waste their efforts. Voting

Choosing who to vote is pretty straight forward ideologically innit but all the logistical gubbins about having to vote Labour to keep Tories out can be a real ball ache, this Guardian site hopefully helps by showing the lie of the land where you live (as well as useful stuff like who the fuck your MP is) where I live Tories are quite far behind in 3rd so I should be able to vote for who I like...they only sell Guardians in the shops in Hackney so we should be alright. Interestingly enough Diane Abbott lives on my street and I would vote for her in a shot but unfortunately she aint my MP it's gun toting, Trident Voting Meg Hillier. If you haven't registered to vote you can do it up to 11 days before the election I think.
