Bold Tendencies 3

A sculpture park and a bar on the roof of a 10 story car park in Peckham, looks dope, thanks to Luke T for the tip, going to head down tomoz I think. Oh and South East is the new East so I'll have an explore and report back, the rent East is ridic so all the artists and musicians move etc.

EDIT: this was dope, everyone should try and go if the weather is nice.

The Tom Show 11

I went for a different style in both content and delivery this month. I hope you don't find it too annoying. If you want a tracklist, just ask, admittedly I play some weird bands and don't pronounce the names very well. Download/stream/subscribe here.

I also spruced up the radio page so it's a lot less retarded, and if you have subscribed in Itunes in the past you might have to do it again, it's gone a bit gay.

Santucci & Co

Santucci & Co represent some great photographers, and their site is a great place to look at pictures big.

Sometimes I blog stuff so I remember it, this may well be one of those occasions.

NPR's All Song Considered

NPR's All Things Considered website has some amazing live concerts from all our favourite artist. My current favourites are the Dark Was The Night concert featuring The National, Bon Iver, Feist, and loads of others, and there is a live video of a recent The Antlers show which is hell of a treat.

Helen Levitt

My favourite photographer of the moment. more.

Arctic Monkeys on The Culture Show

Pretty trivial questioning from Laverne but it's always nice to Alex's cherub like face
pontificating.

Probably more entertaining are the behind the scenes videos Matt has been making on arcticmonkeys.com For the first 5 or 6 all you ever saw Alex doing was making cocktails, pretty funny, see post 4mins on this clip.

Of course my favourite Arctic Monkeys interview is this

Paper Heart

Paper Heart looks like it's going to be a good film, Demetri Martin kills it in this scene.

The New Yorker Fiction Podcasts

For much better description/recommendation go to Danielle's blog dot.dot.all or I'll have a bash...

Short stories featured in the New Yorker over the years read by and chosen by other authors featured in the New Yorker over the years, bookended by intelligent and insightful discussion from New Yorker fiction editor Deborah Treisman. Search and subscribe in Itunes or go here.

I'm really enjoying working my way through these, I'm learning a lot about short stories and fiction, it's like being in a really good English class while riding your bike home.

Airborne

One of my favourite films growing up was Airborne (1993), about a roller blading geezer from California having to go and stay with his geeky cousin (Seth Green) in snowy Ohio for six months, trials and tribulations ensue including an amazing roller blading race down Devils Back Bone! Just found the whole thing on Youtube. Perfect summer holiday film. Think this film inspired me to roller blade a lot, then everyone started doing it. Shame there is massive sigma attached to it now, I was fast as shit.

Radiohead - Harry Patch (In Memory Of)

Radiohead have recorded a song inspired by an interview given by Harry Patch on the Today programme a few years ago, it was played for the first time on Today this morning. It is a really beautiful song, the strings are some of Jonny's most emotive, words from Thom and download here all proceeds going to the British Legion.

Field Day 2009

Had a great time at Field Day 09, unfortunately didn't film much banter, here are some of the bands we saw, it will hopefully give you a feel for the place if nothing else.
